IMPACT FEET: PEDI AT HOME
In these days of quarantine we must focus on the positive side of being at home. So open your cupboard and get ready to have a moment of self-care. kid yourself, you deserve it and your feet will thank you.
To start unpainting your nails with acetone if necessary, then you should soak your feet so that your cuticles soften and it is easier to follow the process. It also feels super relax this step, so don't skip it ...
In a tub of hot water add:
- 1/4 of cup of sea salt
- 1/4 of Cup of epsom salt
- 1/4 cup of baking soda
- 10 drops of lavender essence.
* If you don't have any of the ingredients, skip it. If you only have grain salt in your pantry that is more than enough (the recipe above is to make it more fancy and yes, it has extra benefits). Just add 1 cup of grain salt to 5 liters of hot water and voila!
Since you have your tub ready with the ingredients, soak your feet for about 15-25 minutes.
Now take your nail clippers and cut your nails square (see the picture for a reference) to avoid buried nails.
With a nail file, smooth the edges and the little bits that may have remained and with a soft file, file the surface of your nail so that it looks and feels smooth and even.
If you have almond oil, smear a little bit on your cuticles and run with a cuticle stick. If you have a cuticle trimmer (and the skill) very carefully trim your cuticle if necessary, if not, just go over it.
Now comes my favorite part ... exfoliate! And I have an infallible recipe that will work amazing for you.
If you don't have any ingredient, you can substitute it.
In unbowed add:
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 tbsp. baking soda
- 3 tbsp. coconut oil or olive oil
- 10 drops of eucalyptus essence. (if you don't have skip it)
Now exfoliate your feet in circular motions for a few minutes. You can leave it as a kind of mask for 15 minutes and rinse with warm water (you can recycle the water where you soaked your feet at the beginning if your feet were clean).
Dry your feet well and now you are ready to paint them to your liking.
As an extra tip, I recommend using the miraculous nail polish or some transparent polish before putting one with color to avoid staining your nails.
Repeat this process once a month and you'll have divine feet all season to show off in your new #SCTYShoes.
